This year featuring Kings of Leon, The Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead, Reading was the highlight of the Summer festival season for many. Thanks to BBC Music, and with a little help from Hyperactive, there was comprehensive coverage on BBC TV, Radio and Interactive services.
We were so impressed by the new features introduced in EVS IP Director version 5 that we asked BBC Music to give it a try at Reading. We put together a GigE networked EVS and Avid editing setup with further comprehensive production tools provided by the IP Directors. The production staff were able to ingest, log, manage, search, track, edit, create clips and highlights, browse and play video and audio content instantly through IP Director's user friendly interface. We thought that they would love it, and they did.
We worked hard to stay within the BBC's budget on this and yet still were able to supply a powerful integrated editing solution with a Hyperactive specialist on site providing support.
