Project Casestudy:
The Open Golf 2009 This year Scotland hosted the UK's major professional Golf tournament and the event took place at Turnberry on the west coast. With short odds on several Englishmen the event made compulsive TV viewing.
A perfect application for the latest versions of the EVS Multicam and IP Director software, Hyperactive have worked on this project hand in hand with our Outside Broadcast client. A sophisticated and flexible workflow enables edited packaged to be easily assembled from on the day OB coverage, Camcorder ENG footage and a vast library of archive tapes. The setup was networked across 2 OB trucks, a mobile VT truck, 5 editing/ingest portacabins and 2 production offices. The production team were particularly pleased with IP Director's latest version which includes a "Software Player" that enables any IP Director to browse content, mark clips and then send them to Avid for inclusion in the edited piece. One of Hyperactive's AVID/EVS integration specialists was on site for the duration.
