"Krod Mandoon and The Flaming Sword of Fire" is an outrageous, character-driven workplace comedy set in an ancient realm. The series follows reluctant hero, Krod Mandoon, a thin-skinned and underconfident freedom fighter, who is the last great hope in the struggle against the evil ruler, Chancellor Dongalor played by Matt Lucas. To help fight the good fight, Krod has assembled a band of loyal, but remarkably ineffective freedom fighters: Aneka, the beautiful Pagan warrioress whose weapon of choice is sex; Zezelryck, the young warlock whose greatest magical gift is spinning a yarn; Loquasto, Krod's oafish half human/half swine servant; and Bruce, who's fierce and proud. Together, they must overcome a myriad of evil obstacles in their quest to save the world, including name-calling, hired assassins and a bisexual Cyclops (or biclops).
Job Overview:Shot on location in Hungary, Hyperactive initially set up Avid editing facilities in Budapest. The Krod team were able to edit whilst shooting was in progress but once production was complete Hyperactive were called in to relocate the post facility back to London. The final stages of editing took place simultaneously in London and Los Angeles and Hyperactive made this possible by duplicating the London Unity on to a second Avid Unity. Hyperactive's engineer flew to LA, Unity in his baggage, and set up a mirror image of the London edit in Hollywood. The Krod team were delighted with the facility to be able to simply exchange "bin" files across the Atlantic.
