Job Overview:Following on from the success at Radio One's Big Weekend, the BBC booked Hyperactive to supply Avid EVS integrated post production facilities for Glastonbury 2009. The requirement was similar to Radio One's Big Weekend but on a much larger scale, 10 EVS servers integrated with 8 Avid Media Composers, installed and networked across 3 OB trucks and 3 Edit Cabins. The set up was in use over the Glastonbury weekend to produce feeds for BBC HD, BBC 2 and BBC 3, as well as "Red Button" content and website content. Highlights packages, behind the scenes pieces, band profiles and near live content all coming from the system. Hyperactive supplied decks for ENG ingest and PasB recordings as well as 6 full Sony HDC-1500 camera channels for Pyramid stage coverage. Our technicians were on site all weekend to ensure it all went smoothly.
