Each week, the Autumnwatch team will be giving us all the latest news and views and encouraging us to get out and enjoy autumn's wildlife treats for ourselves, whether we live out in the wilds or in the depths of the city.
This year BBC Nature have set up the Autumnwatch base at BBC Bristol in Whiteladies Road and Hyperactive have supplied and built the Avid editing facility, fully integrated with EVS ingest and playout.
Centred around Avid Unity storage and a full Avid Interplay environment, five fully featured Avid Nitris DX HD edit suites are at the heart of the post production operation. Ingest is from Panasonic P2 cards as well as Sony EX cards and multiple VTR formats. Avid Assist stations make viewing and logging easy and quick.
Connectivity to the EVS network via XFile(2) and IPDirector enables studio and down the line content to be be clipped up on EVS and sent to Avid for inclusion in the edited packages. Finished edits are then sent back to EVS for transmission into the live programme.
