About Australian Open 2012:

The 2012 Australian Open is a tennis tournament that will take place in Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia from January 16 to January 29, 2012. It will be the 100th edition of the Australian Open, and the first Grand Slam event of the year.

Job Overview:

We loaded half a dozen Avids on to pallets and shipped them to the other side of the world and then asked for a volunteer to fly out and look after them. As you can imagine, the prospect of leaving the English winter behind left our team of engineers falling over each other to be first on to the plane. 

Recently released EVS Multicam 11 Software on the client's EVS network required us to upgrade the software versions on the Avid side for this project. Understandably new versions of software always make our engineers a little nervous in case any bugs have crept in. On this occasion though there was no need to worry. It all worked perfectly and the client was able to make good use of the latest EVS and Avid software features.
