With Rob flying back after the setup. what better way to spend a month than in the warmth and throng of the World Cup, although it wasnt quite to warm as he expected.. infact it was rather chilly on occasions.

Delivering setups and support to 4 major broadcasters with coverage across the UK, USA and Brazil, hyperactive has shipped out and setup a plethora of systems including Final Cut’s, Avid Nitris DX’s, Avid Interplays and Avid Symphonys’s, not to mention the usual suspects for high availability network storage delivery such as the Avid Airspeed Ingest and Playout server. With some much out there, it’s no wonder Joe’s been busy, but it’s all going well and with Tom and Rob back home if needed, it looks like it’s going to be another great project!

We're celebrating after a fantastic week at the Roundhouse for the BBC's Electric Proms 2009. Another first for Hyperactive and the BBC - This time a complete DNxHD Avid/EVS workflow saw an increased 185M/bits per second travel across the network offering the very best quality throughout, and feeds for both BBC HD and BBC Two. The production staff loved the media management facilities and we loved every second of making it happen. Thanks to all concerned and to the BBC for another great job.

10 EVS’s, 8 Avids and 6 Sony HDC-1500 Camera channels across 3 OB Trucks, 3 Edit Cabins and 1 main stage in rain, mud, thunder and lightning, but there was coffee! One of the year’s most memorable music events and once again we were there from start to finish and this year in glorious HD. With Tom and Joe working around the clock, five Avid Nitris DX systems and four EVS XT(2)’s played centre stage, with BBC 3, BBC Worldwide and The Red button all taking feeds.
