At Hyperactive we always do our best to supply equipment that the industry needs and wants. Following the Launch of Avid's brand new Nitris DX Media Composer we've taken delivery of 12 of them already!. Together with broadcast equipment for the Olympics this has brought our investment total in state of the art equipment recently to almost 1,000,000.

Director Mike Jopp, when talking about the choice of Avid said; We didn't look closley at any competitive products because, for the majority of our clients, there aren't any serious competitors - people ask for Avid so that's what we supply.

We have recently installed 2 Nitris DX systems at Bentley Productions for use on Midsomer Murders. Needless to say they are delighted with them. They are being used on the Mac platform, and already the client is impressed with the stability of the system.

The other DX systems we bought are in use all over the place, including Manchester and Ireland, although the secrecy act forbids me to tell on what and with whom

Due to the increasing demand for High-Definition content, we have just invested £400,000 in Sony HD Camera Channels.

We chose the Sony HDC-1500, which is the market leader in top-end Hi-Def Cameras, as we'd noticed an increasing demand for them amongst our clients, both for Studio and Outside Broadcast applications.

Sony offer a huge list of options for this camera, and we decided to carry a full range of viewfinders including the new 9" colour LCD. Some clients like to use the HDLA-1500 Camera Frames that take a long lens and 7" CRT viewfinder, and this combination is particularly popular for Sports coverage.
