Glastonbury 2011 bought together all the traditions and expectations of this renowned music festival... The rain, the crowds, artists from around the world and endless ques for the toilet not to mention oceans of tents and temporary shelters as festival goers decended on this famous event.
We were back again this year after many years of success, bigger and better. Boasting an array of EVS XT2 HD and SD servers, XFile Storage and Avid Nitris DX Systems as well as a full Avid Interplay and EVS IP Director network setup. Monitoring and storing all 8 angles/positions we were briefed that a headline act had requested the storage so that footage could be used later, but we didnt expect others to need it as well....
One of the highlights or star performances of the festival for many people was Beyonce, but for Tom she really made an impression. Not only did he watch her live (all be it via the monitor) but within 5 minutes of being off stage she was knocking on his door.
Working alongside Jo Timms from our good freinds at Ace Post, she and another viewed all the captured footage for her latest 2 releases just performed. Jo then worked on a rough cut which was needed over in the states which was then outputted along with the original source material and transmitted out.
